Born in Shanghai in 1958, Zhang Jiang was enrolled in Art College of Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1984, majoring in Oil Painting.  In 2000, he was granted Silver Award of Painting at France Salon d'Automne.  In 2001, he was given silver medal certificate and badge of honor for "France Achievement and Contribution Award" by France senior review committee.

His works were collected by Museum Bergér in France.  In 2008 his oil painting, Early Spring, was selected by Paris "Grand palais" salon art expo.
