Zhang Hui's "Beijing Doll" series topic is a new girl concerning 1990's China.  Her girl comes close to portrait and our daily life.  Cartoonization and decadence is the main characteristic of the series.  What Zhang wants to express is a symbolized girl image whose selfness and desire are released much more than females of the former generation.  But at the same time, compare to the latter, they also lost many important spirit like ideal, social responsibility, and revolutionary courage.
