Carol Guzman (Born 1951) is active/lives in Colorado, Missouri.  Carol Guzman is known for Landscape, still life, and Indian artifact painting.

Maintaining a studio in Montana with her husband, Clyde Aspevig, Carol Guzman is a painter of still lifes and landscapes in oil and pastel.  In her still lifes, she paint objects life size, and her subjects include flowers, Indian mocassins, animal skulls, and vegetables.  As an influence on her still-life painting, she credits the writing of Emil Carlsen, Danish artist.  From him she learned the importance of subduing the highlights so that the form of the subject is emphasized.

Her landscape subjects include the coast of Maine and views of western states.

Guzman grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and studied painting and print making in a community college.  She earned a BFA from Hunter College in New York City and also trained with Michael Tedesco, learning the techniques of the Old Masters, at the Parsons School of Design in New York City.
