Steven Lang

Steven Lang (Born 1960) is active/lives in California.  Steven Lang is known for Native American, cowboy.

"The Story Teller," Steven Lang creates historically accurate paintings that are meticulously researched through participation in period reenactments.

In 2003 Steven Lang was awarded the Master Signature Member status from the Oil Painters of America. Other achievements include: Best of Show/Oil at W.A.A. Ellensburg, Wash.; Gold Medal/Oils, San Dimas, Calif.; the Phippen Family Award and Awards of Excellence by Oil Painters of America (OPA). He is Honorary Artist Life Member of the Mountain Oyster Club and has been featured in Western Horseman, Southwest Art and Art of the West.

Lang was also commissioned by the National Park Service to paint a painting in 2004 for the National HIstoric Site in Cheyenne, Oklahoma of the opening time period of the battle between the Seventh Cavalry and Chief Black Kettle's camp of the Southern Cheyenne.

The Cowboy and Indians Magazine of January, 2004 has an interview with Lang.
