Paul Kethley is a painter and illustrator of western landscape, horses and riders, wildlife, Native Americans and fly-fishing scenes.  His style is realistic and painterly*.

From the time he was young, he has shown an interest in art, beginning with WWII drawings of aircraft in dog fight positions, which included his own sound effects.  He says that: "My basic interest is the historical West, but I have also chosen modern settings which originate from my own personal adventures.  I like to depict man interacting with the environment, campfires, cowboys, Native Americans, wildlife and fisherman.  I want to get viewers involved in the interaction with the figures, to tell a story but give them the freedom to finish the story."
