Pandolfo Reschi

Pandolfo Reschi (1643 - 1699) was active/lived in Poland.  Pandolfo Reschi is known for Landscape, battle scene, allegorical painting.

Born in Danzig in 1643 by a wealthy merchant, Pandolfo Reschi joined the army of Leopold I of Austria in 1663.  He did this after the death of his father.  

Reschi has been documented in Rome with the Dutch landscape painter Pieter Mulier.

At the end of the sixties, in Florence, Reschi specialized in the battle genres and landscape renewing successful examples of Salvator Rosa and Jacques Courtois.

Reschi benefited from the patronage of the Marquis Pier Antonio Gerini.  Gerini offered him the opportunity to spend the seventies of the seventeenth century in the palace of the noble family located in Florence where he kept several works by Salvator Rosa.

Pandolfo Reschi passed away in 1699.
