Kurt Absolon

Kurt Absolon (1925 - 1958) was active/lived in Austria.  Kurt Absolon is known for Painting.

Absolon studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and devoted most of his artistic career to painting scenes from everyday life and to illustrations inspired by literature. As a young man he experienced the Second World War as a soldier, however, this traumatic experience appears in only a few of his works. One such work is the ink drawing The Hunt: the drawing expresses an unrestrained terror, which can only come from the deepest wells of the psyche.
