Bronislaw Chromy

Bronislaw Chromy is a Polish sculptor, medalist, draftsman, and painter who was born in an unknown year. He studied under Xawery Dunikowski and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 1956. Chromy became a member of the Polish Academy of Learning in 1994. His sculptures often combine bronze and stone and are inspired by nature. He has created both intimate and monumental works, including the Pieta Oswiecimska, a sculpture of the Wawel Dragon, and the Monument to the Piwnica pod Baranami.
