Alfredo Roque Gameiro

Alfredo Roque Gameiro (1864 - 1935) was active/lived in Portugal.  Alfredo Roque Gameiro is known for Watercolor painting.

Roque Gameiro was a Portuguese watercolor painter who won several awards for his work, including the Medal of Honor at the National Society of Fine Arts, the Gold Medal at the "Salon de Paris," and the "Grand-Prix" at the International Exhibition in Rio de Janeiro. He was also an illustrator, collaborating with Manuel de Macedo and later with Alberto de Sousa on original watercolors for various works, including the complete works by Almeida Garrett, a monumental edition of "Os Lusíadas," and "As Pupilas do Senhor Reitor" by Júlio Dinis. Roque Gameiro is represented in the Museums of Contemporary Art in Lisbon and Madrid and in several private collections.
