The following obituary is from The New York Times, January 30, 1989.

Jay Rosenblum, an abstract painter, died Friday in St. Vincent's Hospital after suffering massive injuries in an accident with a bus while he was bicycling.  He was 55 years old and lived in Manhattan.

Mr. Rosenblum was a native of the Bronx and a graduate of the High School of Music and Art, Bard College and the Cranbrook Academy of Fine Arts in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.  He was a violinist in the Seventh Army Symphony in West Germany in the mid-1950's and taught at the School of Visual Arts.

Surviving are his wife, the former Muriel Crane; two daughters, Julia and Maria, of Manhattan; a brother, Myron, of Queens, and two sisters, Rachelle Sparrow of Rockville, Md., and Gilda Hannah of Manhattan.   ...  [Displaying 811 of 1346 characters.]  Artist bio
