Roy Good

Roy Good (Born 1945) was active/lived in New Zealand.  Roy Good is known for Abstract art.

Roy Good is a New Zealand artist and designer who has been active in the art and design fields for over 50 years. He graduated from Christchurch's Ilam School of Art and later moved to Auckland where he worked with Television New Zealand and exhibited his paintings at various galleries. Good was part of a group of abstract artists who rejected popular local subjects and styles in an attempt to match international standards. He has also worked on high-profile corporate design projects and taught part-time at various art and design schools. In 2007-8, Lopdell House Gallery held a survey of his work and in 2018, Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery published a book about his art and design to mark his 50 years of practice. Good currently lives and works in Auckland.
