Honoured Artist of the RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federalist Socialist Republic); People’s Artist of Russia; and Acting Member of the Academy of Artists, Russia; and Professor in Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute. 

In 1953, Mikhailovich graduated from the Moscow Academic Art Institute. He studied under D. Mochalskiy, M. Cheremnykh, M. Rodionov, N. Ponomaryov. During 1953-1963 created social and public posters. Worked in co-authorship with B.A. Uspenskiy till mid 1980-s. 

His works can be found in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and many museum collections of Russia.
