Mexican Artist’s Paintings to be shown in El Paso.
An informal exhibition of paintings by Reynaldo Maya, Mexican artist, will be held at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, at the home of R.L. Andrews at 1605 Alabama street. The exhibition will be a preview of a display of Mr. Maya’s paintings which will open next week in San Francisco. The public is invited. Mr. Andrews will leave here Friday to arrange for the exhibition at the Graves Gallery there. Mr. Andrews met Mr. Maya while vacationing in Mexico several years ago.

Mr. Maya’s paintings have been on display in Paris, Madrid and Mexico City. In Madrid Mr. Mayo was presented a silver medal and diploma for his work. Mr. Maya, 38, is the son of a sarape weaver. He was born in San Miguel Topilejo, Near Mexico City. He began painting at five, and when he was in grammar school, he illustrated lessons on the blackboard for both students and teachers.
