Marcel Jefferys

Marcel Jefferys (1872 - 1924) was active/lived in Belgium.  Marcel Jefferys is known for Genre, marine, landscape, and still life painting.

Marcel Jefferys was born as the son of a British father in Brussels and received private painting lessons by the famous artists Henriëtte und Alfred Ronner.  Jefferys focused on painting genre scenes, landscapes, marine pieces and still lifes in oil and watercolour in an impressionistic style.  Next to this, he worked as a designer for furniture, wallpapers and fabrics for the Belgian company Vanderborght in Brussels.  Jefferys fled to London during the First World War where he got influenced by Turner and Whistler.
