Lifu Chen

Lifu Chen (1900 - 2001) was active/lived in China.  Lifu Chen is known for Calligraphy.

Chen Lifu was born in Zhejiang province and in 1924 he received his master’s degree in mining engineering from University of Pittsburgh.  He was an influential figure in Kuomingtang (Nationalist Party), having served as Chiang Kaishek’s personal secretary and later became the Minister of Education.

Chen Lifu (1900-2001), whose sobriquet is Zuyan, was born in Wuxing, Zhejiang Province. As the founder of modern higher education in China, a prominent member of the Nationalist Government and the Kuomintang, and the most trusted advisor to Chiang Kai-shek (1887-1975), Chen Lifu's place in the history of twentieth-century China is clear for all to see.
