Boulder's own world-famous train artist, Howard Fogg, single-handedly painted the trains of America into railroad history. His painstaking accuracy and artistically rendered paintings are treasured by collectors, museums and rail fans everywhere.

Leanin'' Tree published its first train Christmas card by Fogg in 1958, and since that time has reproduced over 100 of Fogg's exciting and beautiful paintings. His detailed studies of the trains of yesterday and today earned him the respect of fellow train artists and train buffs alike. Even those who do not profess to be die-hard train fans can't help but be mesmerized by the romance, mystery and strength of a Howard Fogg painting.

A graduate of Dartmouth College, Fogg studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. After World War II, he began work as a company artist for the American Locomotive Company.
