Hong Lei

Hong Lei (Born 1960) is known for Painting.

Born in Suzhou in 1960; Graduated from Nanjing Arts Institute in 1987; Practicing print art at Central Academy of Fine Art in 1993; Now resides in Changzhou.

Hong Lei's creation has always been a flourishing disaster of hidden passion.  At the start of 1997, he transformed from painting to device landscape photography.  He also handcrafted textures of scratching, dye or darkroom and digital post-production on his photos.  In recent years, he also began to shoot scenery that appears on silk ink lens which brings more "historical semantics."  The quiet ink colors, dead poetry that possesses literature gifted with a brilliant story and gloomy background; at the same time discovering an entire culture, history and personal realistic state of life.
