Antonio Maya Cortes is a Spanish painter, sculptor, and draughtsman who was born in an unknown year and began his studies at the School of Arts and Crafts in his native city. He continued his training at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid and the Academy of San Jorge in Barcelona. 

He settled permanently in Madrid in 1968 and published his first graphic work. He has participated in individual and group exhibitions in Spain, Morocco, Italy, Venezuela, and Argentina. He completed his studies in Rome between 1990 and 1991 with a scholarship from the Spanish Academy. He has won several awards and has works in various institutions, museums, and collections, both public and private.
