Victor Roman (1937-1995) is a sculptor from the Institute of Visual Arts in Bucharest.

Its abundant creation is inspired by its Romanian roots.  His sculpture is an evocation of this civilization which he evokes gestures and traditions.  It is distinguished by an authentic production, on the sidelines of the trends of the 1960s.

Roman's works include signs that leap into space, forming stems, sharp points, ellipses that surround the void. He made many monumental works, which made Pierre Restany say, "The urban territory of the Paris region is the real public museum of Victor Roman".

Victor Roman passed away in 1995.
