Christoforos Savva

Christoforos Savva (1924 - 1968) was active/lived in Cyprus, England.  Christoforos Savva is known for Abstract figure painting.

Christoforos Savva was born in 1924 in Marathovounos. From 1943 until 1946 he served in the Cyprus Constitution of the British Army. In 1947 he emigrated to England where until 1953 he studied painting at St Martin's School of Art and Heatherley's School. He returned to Cyprus in 1954. The same year he organized his first exhibition with Roddy Maude-Roxby. To 1955 he founded together with other art lovers the Pancyprian Union of which he was president.
From 1956 - 1959 he lived in Paris where he attended painting classes at the Academy of Andre Lhote. Aftin period presented his works both in France and Cyprus.

He returned to Cyprus in 1960 and founded the gallery "Judgment" along with Glyn Hughes. To 1960, under the auspices of UNESCO outlined by Glyn Hughes and S. Burdau in Beirut. In 1962 she represented Cyprus with Adamantios Diamantis Paul George and A. Mentesh, the exhibition "Commonwealth Art Today" in London.
