Zdzislaw Nitka (b. 1962) Zdzislaw Nitka is one of the most interesting artists of the Wroclaw circle. Since his student days, he has developed a completely individual, recognizable artistic formula, largely referring to the experiences of German expressionism, especially the Die Brücke group, and the later Neue Wilde movement of the 1980s. He was most fascinated by the imperfection and rawness of the work of German artists, which can also be seen in his works. Nitka's work is a kind of nod to the appreciated masters of expressionist painting. In his paintings, he refers to artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Edvard Munch, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner. As he admitted in one of the interviews: “It is a source of inspiration for me and an energy that makes me want to be a painter all the time.
