Victor Dmitrievich Pivovarov was a Russian artist and graphic artist known for his contributions to Moscow conceptualism. He was born in Moscow in 1937 and graduated from the Moscow Art-Industrial School named after Kalinin in 1957 and the Moscow Polygraphic Institute in 1962. Pivovarov illustrated children's books and collaborated with magazines such as Murzilka and Funny Pictures. He is known for his series of monotypes "The Temptation of St. Anthony" (1967) and twelve albums including "Macrogomus", "Tears", "Face", "Garden", "Kabakov and Pivovarov", and "Projects for a lonely person". Pivovarov's personal exhibitions were held in Moscow, Czechoslovakia, and Sweden. His works are in museums and private collections in Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, and other countries. Pivovarov also published two books of essays-memoirs and a collection of critical articles
