Tom Hall (A. Thomas Hall)
He was born on. February 23, 1908 in Chicago, Illinois and died May 13, 1965 in Oak Park, Illinois.  Hall worked primarily in Chicago and Oak Park, Illinois as an illustrator, and was best known for men's fashion illustrations.
His work appeared in True magazine (1950's), and Sports Afield magazine (1950's).

Tom Hall was born in Chicago, IL and worked there for his entire life, with the exception of a short period of time around 1929 when he worked in New York City.  He left school after the ninth grade and went to work.  At some point he attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago.  His first art job was with the Vogue Wright Studios in Chicago where he started by painting the highlights on buttons and progressed to the herringbone patterns in suits.  He often told the story of his first day there wh   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 1786 characters.]  Artist bio
