Przemyslaw Matecki

Przemyslaw Matecki (Born 1976) is active/lives in Poland.  

Przemyslaw Matecki was born in 1976, in Zagan, Poland.  He studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, in the studio of Richard Wozniak, a central figure of ‘Gruppa’.  'Gruppa' is also known as the Neo-Expressionism Polish movement.

Matecki has since founded his own studio, called Studio Tfurczosci Mature.  With their inclusion of found objects and popular culture, his works show the influence of Robert Rauschenberg.   

Matecki’s works have been exhibited in galleries across Europe, and are found in public collections including the National Museum of Warsaw.
