Otto Thämer was born on February 1, 1892 in Hamburg - Altona and died on March 11, 1975 ibid.  German landscape and marine painter (watercolor, oil and frescoes) and graphic (etcher and engraver), studied at the school of Applied Arts in Altona and teaching institution Berlin Applied Arts Museum, trained at the academy in Munich under Wahler and Diez, a member of the Altona Artists association and the exhibition community, "De terp, member of the Hamburg artist eV, 1924-1925 trip to Italy at the Academy in Rome (learn fresco technique), 1926 Paris is working in the studio of Vasily Schuchajeff and Roger Bissière, created some murals in schools in Hamburg, see Thieme-Becker.
