Miguel Angel Campano (Madrid, Spain, 1948 - Cercedilla, Spain, 2018) was an essential artist in the Spanish painting of the eighties. In the seventies he moved to Paris, where his work gets a big boost and maturity.??Influenced by French pictorial tradition of well-know artists such as Delacroix, Poussin and Cézanne, Campano's proposal is located between abstraction and figuration. 

He experiments through different techniques, topics and materials. An aesthetic of extremes characterized his work, in which we appreciate minimalism and other historical avant-garde movements, such as constructivism and suprematism.  ??His work forms part of museums and public collections such as Artium Centro-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo (Vitoria, Spain), Colección Los Bragales (Santander, Spain), MNCARS Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid, Spain), Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris, France) or Fundación Juan March (Madrid, Spain).
