The Belgian Marc Hardy (born in 1952) is part of the generation that succeeds the founding geniuses of the Belgian comics: Jijé, Franquin, Morris, Peyo, Will, Roba... Very young he became assistant to Mittéï, Seron and Aidans before drawing Arkel (1984) for Stephen DeBerg, then a beginner screenwriter,  a story of demons where he infuses for the first time his expressionistic and humorous style that will become his trademark.  In the same year he began a collaboration with Yann who developed for him the controversial Dragonfly patrol, a story of scouts staging some figures of the Second World War and, five years later, Lolo and Lollipop (1989).  In 1982, Raoul Cauvin offered him Pierre Tombal, a comedy series for all audiences.  In spite of its dark theme, this comic book finds it's place in Spirou and in bookstore and wins notable success.  This great illustration concentrates Marc Hardy's own style, as powerful in black and white as in color, whose detailed d   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 1040 characters.]  Artist bio
