Madjid Rahnavardkar comes from a family of artists and so it is no surprise that he himself started painting when only 16 years old.  He won the Persian-French RASI award for painting in 1959.  He later moved to Munich to improve his education and has lived there ever since.  He turned towards impressionism and always remained true to this style, reinterpreting it again and again with new techniques and approaches.
