Jozef Pankiewicz (1866/68 - 1940) was active/lived in Poland.  Jozef Pankiewicz is known for Landscape, portrait, and still life painting.

Pankiewicz paved paths for his students in France, promoting French culture among them. The first students of the artist arrived at the Seine at the beginning of the second decade of the 20th century, when Jan Waclaw Zawadowski, Mojzesz Kisling and Szymon Mondzain settled in Paris. The second wave is associated with the creation of the Paris Committee and the arrival of young painters from Krakow in 1924. Pankiewicz was a painter oriented towards modernity, but also cherishing the high classical ideal of art.
