Claude Dumont was born in 1938 in Metz France.  He spent his childhood in the Meuse area and his parents enrolled him at the national college to become an industrial designer.

At the age of 15,  he had to stop his studies as he was in the first stage of tuberculosis and he is cared for for 2 years at Villiers Cotterets. There, he met some Parisians and asked his parents to enroll him at the fashion design school in Paris at Ms Bazot.

At the age of 19 he completed his military service in Algeria in 28 months, amongst the red hat parachutes.

Upon his return, he worked in different fashion establishments: Daniel Hechter, Balaciaga and for magazines such as “Tout Savoir” and “Guerir”.

However, one of his peers from the army who had noticed him for his drawing skills contaced him to go to the Place du Tertre in Montmartre (a district in Paris) with him.  His success was instantaneous drawing "Poulbots" (Little anecdote: in one month h   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 3139 characters.]  Artist bio
