From Cornwallartists.org: This landscape painter is identified by Wood as the brother of Frederick 'Fred' Clive Newcombe, who adopted a pseudonym to distinguish himself from his father, John Suker, and his brother, Arthur, both of whom were also artists. 

Not only was Arthur Suker brother of Frederick Clive Newcome, he and Fred were first cousins to the well known artist and illustrator, Walter Crane (1845-1915). Arthur Suker was born in mid 1857 at Tranmere, Cheshire, the son of John Suker, a landscape painter and his wife, Elizabeth. By 1871 he is living with his large family in Birkenhead and is recorded as a scholar in art.
