Ang Ah Tee was born in Indonesia in 1943.  Ang Ah Tee is a second-generation Singapore artist who is appraised for his compelling abstract works and his highly sought-after landscape paintings.  He was inspired by his extensive travels.  Ang Ah Tee traveled to paint.  Over the years the artist had traveled far and wide to capture the captivating spirit of the places he visited.

Ang Ah Tee graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1962, but only committed to become a full-time artist in 1977.  That year he was awarded the National Day Award from Singapore Ministry of Culture. 

Ang Ah Tee was a prolific artist who produced over 2,000 paintings since 1976. In 2009, he was awarded the Cultural Medallion for his continual artistic innovations in the Singapore visual art scene.
