Alvaro Santiago (Born 1953) is known for Painting.

Presents detachment of pictorial layer, scratches and stains. Coming from a family with extensive manual dexterity and possessing a broad imagination since childhood, made him enter the School of Fine Arts at the age of 13, later he arrived in Mexico City to be a student at La Esmeralda. Álvaro Santiago belongs to the legacy of the Oaxacan school as can be seen in the elements that are included in his work, which have a personal treatment so that they differ from the pieces of other artists from his region. Among his inspirations from the plastic world, David Alfaro Siqueiros stands out. He has been part of more than 70 exhibitions nationally and internationally, highlighting the United States, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Japan, Australia, among others.
