Kim L. Cridler (Born 1968) is active/lives in Wisconsin, Michigan.  Kim Cridler is known for Mixed-media welded steel sculpture.

Themes of nature, utility, and the body are evident in the work of emerging artist Kim Cridler. Her interests stem from sentimental sources inspired by a childhood spent caring for the ceramic and silver heirlooms on her familys Michigan farm. Washing, polishing and dusting these objects created an intimate relationship and a sense of care giving that fostered in Cridler an understanding of the combined value of function and beauty and how memory and history play significant roles in life.

Working in a span from miniature size to large scale, she creates elegant welded steel forms and flat ornamental panels that are reminiscent of vases, teapots, chandeliers, carpets and other domestic objects. These forms reflect her belief that certain functional objects when cherished by one generation is cared for by the successive generations.
