Emilio Cruz (1938 - 2004) was active/lived in Illinois, New York.  Emilio Cruz is known for Non objective and other modernist imagery.

Emilio Cruz was born in 1938 in New York City. Cruz was an African-American artist of Cuban descent. He lived and worked most of his life in New York, studying at the Art Students League and The New School. He had his first solo exhibition at the Zabriskie Gallery in New York in 1963 and exhibited widely throughout New York and Chicago (where he taught in the 1970s). The artist passed away in 2004.
