Stefania Ordynska-Morawska

Stefania Ordynska-Morawska (1882 - 1968) was active/lived in Poland, France.  Stefania Ordynska Morawska is known for Still life, marine and rural land and cityscape scape painting.

Educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Stefania Ordynska devoted herself to art, leaving her husband and moving to Paris in 1910, when she made her debut at the Autumne Salon.

The painter created characteristic Parisian cityscapes and floral natures that evoke, above all, Cézanne, but also Rouault and other Fauvists.

In the post-war period, she stayed mainly in Poland and died in Wroclaw in 1968. The presented still life represents the characteristic style of Ordynska, based on joyful colors and contours of objects. This work, like many of her still lifes, was probably created around 1930.
