Marion Gettelson Messinger (1908 - 1989) was active/lived in California, Illinois.  Marion Messinger is known for Painting, art education, sculpture.

Marion Gettelson Messinger was born in Chicago, IL on June 28, 1908. Gettelson studied at the AIC and in Europe. Returning to Chicago, she converted to modernism after viewing modern French paintings at the 1933 World's Fair. In 1935 she wed engineer Bernard Messinger and settled in Los Angeles in 1940. Mrs. Messinger produced spiritual abstractions until about 1965 and then retired to Pebble Beach, CA where she remained until her demise on July 20, 1989.
