Jane Robinson Mabry (1911 - 2006) was active/lived in New Mexico, District Of Columbia. Jane Mabry is known for Indian figure, portrait and western scene painting.
Mary Jane Mabry, born March 11, 1911 in Roswell NM, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and gifted artist, passed away December 12, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott H. Mabry and her daughter, Pamela Mabry. She is survived by her son, Dr. John H. Mabry of Phoenix, AZ; and her daughter, Frances Gwenyth Mabry and son-in-law, Djillali Benselka of Albuquerque; her granddaughters, Zoe Fry of Mill Valley, CA, and Emily Mabry of Tuscon, AZ; her grandsons, Dr. Todd Mabry of Phoenix, AZ and Mark Mabry of Memphis, TN; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Fry Hicks and Gage Fry Hicks of Mill Valley, CA.
Jane graduated from U.N.M. and then studied art for several years with Santa Fe School Artist Gerald Cassidy. She then went east to further her art studies at the Art Students League in New York and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C. While in Washington she painted large murals for the Federal government which were placed in Federal buildings throughout the Un ...
