Jane Gilday (b. 1951) is a painter, musician and writer working in the New Hope, Pennsylvania - Lambertville, New Jersey area since the 1990s.  Gilday's paintings are inspired by landscapes, pattern works and illuminated manuscripts.  Some subjects are created on site and other synthesized from memory and imaginary vistas.  Each painting is mounted in a frame crafted by the artist.  The frame is integral to the work, utilizing incised design motifs, words, and gold-leaf and glazes washes.
