James Hardy II (1832 - 1889) was active/lived in United Kingdom. James Hardy II is known for Dog and game, hunting scene, genre painting.
James Hardy, Jr. (1832-1889)
His father was the landscape painter James Hardy, Sr. and his brother was Heywood Harris.
A painter of rustic landscapes and hunting scenes, Hardy specialized in sporting scenes depicting dogs and game, usually set in highland scenery. He painted both in oil and watercolor and exhibited regularly, at the Royal Academy between 1862 and 1886, the British Institution, the Suffolk Street Gallery and the New Watercolor Society of which he became a member in 1877.
He lived all his life in Bristol and died there on April 4, 1889.
