Ivar Arosenius

Ivar Arosenius (1878 - 1909) was active/lived in Sweden.  Ivar Arosenius is known for Painting.

Ivar Arosenius's fabulous visual world Ivar Arosenius was an artist who went his own way.  He began his studies at Valand's painting school where he became friends with Gerhard Henning and Ole Kruse.  He eventually started at the Art Academy in Stockholm and later switched to the Artists' Association's painting school under Richard Bergh's leadership, but soon realized that this doctrine did not appeal to him and therefore returned to Valand.  Back in Sweden after studying in Europe, he married Eva Adler in 1906 and then their daughter Eva was born, for most of them remembered as Lillan.

She became a symbol of life and a great source of inspiration for her father.  He worked intensively and had a productive period where Lillan often had to be a model.  Arosenius, who was diagnosed with hemorrhagic disease early, died only 30 years old in the suites of this disease that had affected his entire life.  He had just received his big breakthrough and   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 2326 characters.]  Artist bio
