A British born Canadian raised printmaker, painter, sculptor, photographer and mixed medium artist, Hugh Scott-Douglas lives in Brooklyn, New York (since c. 2013). He was born in Cambridge, UK and came to Edmonton, Alberta as a young child with his parents; and, subsequently moved with them to Ottawa (Nepean), Ontario. His works have been widely exhibited across Canada, the U.S.A., Europe, and Japan; they are also in the permanent collections of several American museums.

His mediums include cyanotype monoprint* on textiles, ink-jet prints and resin on canvas, dye sublimation on linen, found object* sculptures, videos, and multi-medium installations. His subjects include weather phenomenon, money, technology, international trade, and socio-economic structures. His styles could be described as Conceptual Art* (Idea Art), Lettrism*, Minimalism*, Op Art*, and Pop Art*. His askART record has dozens of excellent illustrations of his oeuvre.
