German landscape painter, Heinrich Schlotermann studied at the Dresden and Berlin academies among others under E. Bracht.  He exhibited early in Berlin, mainly motifs from the islands of Hiddensee and Vilm.  He was also co-founder of the Ahrenshoop artist's colony.
