Zongwei Sun (1912 - 1979) was active/lived in China.  Zongwei Sun is known for Scroll painting.

Sun Zongwei (1912-1979) Born in Changshu County of Jiangsu Province. In 1934 after entrance examination, he was accepted by Art Faculty of China Central University. Later in 1938 he graduated from this university and since then worked as a teacher there. In that period after the war between China and Japan broke out, he always took an active part in some movement against Japanese imperialism, for example he joined the "Painting Team from Art Faculty of China Central University in Battleground" and propagandize revolutionary thought against the aggression of Japanese imperialism. Because of the good friendship between him and Xu Beihong, Xu presented his own portrait to Sun Zongwei. In 1941,with the recommendation of Lv Sibai, the head of Art Department in China Central University at that time, Sun Zongwei became an assistant of Mr.Zhang Daqian for his archeological trip and research work in Dunhuang district of province Ganshu.Later in 1942,Sun Zongwei came back to China Centra   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 4422 characters.]  Artist bio
