Vera Nilsson (1888 - 1979) was active/lived in Sweden.  Vera Nilsson is known for Painting.

Vera Nilsson was counted together with Sigrid Hjertén, as Sweden's top female artist pioneers.  They were both born in the 1880s, they trained in the 1910s and were active at a time when it was not common for women to express themselves in society.  Both have therefore become strong role models for creative women who dare to stick their neck out in our times.

Vera Nilsson came to Paris for the first time in 1911-12 and became a student at the Académie de la Palette.  Among all the artists Vera saw in Paris, El Greco and Van Gogh decisively influenced her painting.
