Abraham Weinbaum (1890 - 1943) was active/lived in France, Poland, Russian Federation.  Abraham Weinbaum is known for Figure, genre, still life painting.

Abraham Weinbaum, also Albert Wenbaum  (1890-1943)

The son of a textile industrialist, Weinbaum was born in Poland and studied painting in Odessa. He then moved to Cracow, where he became friends with the painter Joseph Leski.  He studied painting at the Fine Art Academy in Cracow together with Joseph Pankiewicz and in 1910, he moved  to Paris and exhibited in the official Salons as well as in Belgium, where the State acquired one of his oil paintings.  Weinbaum traveled frequently to Lodz, Poland.

In 1940 he moved to Marseilles with his wife and daughter.

On January 22, 1943 they were arrested and interned in Compiegne, later transferred to Drancy. On March 23, 1943 they were deported and died at the Nazi extermination camp Sobidor in Poland.
