Pippo Oriani

Pippo Oriani (1909 - 1972) was active/lived in Italy, France.  Pippo Oriani is known for Futurist and expressionist painting, architecture, interior design, masks.

Giuseppe Oriani (Pippo said) was born in Turin, Italy in 1909 to a family of builders. Since his youth, he was attracted to drawing and art.

After beginning his studies in architecture at the School of Architecture, he approached the painting research, joining in 1928 at the Turin Futurist group of Enrico Prampolini. From 1930 to 1936 he was in Paris where he attended Gino Severini and other "Italian artists in Paris." In 1931 he approached at Aero.

He returned again to the Expressionists fees, while after World War II experienced a pictorial language give archaic character and primitive (with "human presence" cycle).

He exhibited with the Venice Biennale in 1930, 1932, 1934, 1936, and 1938.

Activities

Painter of the "Second Futurism" since 1928, thanks to the protection of Prampolini, remained active until after World War II. In career Oriani, curious is its Aeropittura activities, which lasted about one year (1931).
