Morgan Kane

Morgan Kane (Born 1916) is active/lives in North Carolina, Illinois, Ohio, Delaware.  Morgan Kane is known for Book and magazine illustration, movie poster design, photography.

Morgan Kane was an illustrator of book covers and magazines including Hardy Boys; Raymond Chandler's mysteries and Saturday Evening Post, Ladies Home Journal, Esquire and McCalls.

He graduated from the Cleveland Art Institute in 1942 and spent the remainder of the war years illustrating flying manuals, safety posters and doing photography. He then went to Chicago where he did advertisement illustration for  Coca-Cola.
 
In 1951, he broke into magazine illustration, and his worked appeared in publications mentioned above as well as Esquire, Cosmopolitan and American Weekly.

In 1963 Morgan opened a photo studio, and for the next eleven years created photo advertisements and hundreds of book covers. Among his credits were the well-publicized movie poster for the James Bond film, For Your Eyes Only, and the aforementioned illustrations for mysteries as well as Ballantine Books' Gentlemen Prefer Blonds   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 1238 characters.]  Artist bio
