Marjorie Connor Murphy

Marjorie Connor Murphy (1888 - 1980) was active/lived in California, Iowa.  Marjorie Murphy is known for Painting.

Born in Iowa on April 18, 1888. During the 1920s and 1930s Marjorie was a resident of Santa Barbara and the wife of architect Dan Murphy for whom she worked as a draftsman. She also taught at the Santa Barbara School of the Arts. In her leisure she painted portraits and exhibited locally. Mrs. Murphy died in Claremont, CA on Dec. 20, 1980. Exh: Calif. Art Club, 1920-21; LA Co. Fair, 1926; Calif. WC Club, 1926; Pasadena Art Inst., 1928, 1930; Artists Barn (Fillmore), 1939; Chamber of Commerce (Santa Paula), 1950; Women Painters of the West, 1952-54; Laguna Blanca School (Santa Barbara), 1960.
