Carl Rahl

Carl Rahl (1812 - 1865) was active/lived in Austria.  Carl Rahl is known for Painting.

Enzio (Enzo di Svevia) ( around 1220–1272 in Bolgna) was an illegitimate son of Emperor Frederick II. In 1239, Enzio was appointed King of Sardinia and legate general in central and northern Italy by his father. He led military operations against the rebellious Guelphs in Romagna, the Marche and Tuscany. In 1249 after the battle of Fossalta near Modena he was taken prisoner by Bolognese. Enzio was kept in knightly captivity for more than 22 years in the “Palazzo Nuovo”, which is still called Palazzo Re Enzo after him.
